Following last year’s successful edition, the Fusion Food Festival returns to Gastvrij Rotterdam in 2026.
“Crispy… or soft and full of flavour?
With our Won Ton, you don’t have to choose.”
Meet our boxes full of surprising fusion flavours. Each box offers a wide range of tastes to surprise your guests.
Our company was founded by director and master chef, Man Kin Ho, who came to The Netherlands in the 70’s as an art student. He grew up in Hong Kong in a family with a strong culinary heritage.
In order to finance his career as an artist Ho took a job in a Chinese restaurant where he was soon to discover that Chinese cuisine in the West greatly differed from the Chinese which was enjoyed in Hong Kong and China. He wanted to change that, so he decided to apply his artistic skill and talent to cooking. In 1976 he and his wife, Betty, opened their first restaurant, Shanghai Noodle, in Amsterdam’s China Town.
The traditional dishes were greatly appreciated by their guests, so much so, that Ho felt it was time to expand and share ‘his’ food culture. In 1981 he opened Restaurant Treasure at Amsterdam city centre’s Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. Fellow restaurateurs and food critics lauded Ho’s dishes for their flavour and presentation.
Dim Sum became so popular that in 1990 Mr and Mrs Ho decided to open a small factory in Amstelveen, Treasure Dim Sum Products Ltd. Due to the increasing demand for Ho’s Dim Sum, the factory outgrew itself in no time. Consequently in 1995 the family decided to build a new factory. Comprising more than 2000 square meters, the premises were further extended in 2010.
Ho always regarded his dishes and his Dim Sum as an art form. He not only focused on the combination of flavours and palate, but also on the presentation of his dishes. Graduating in 2011 from Beijing Fine Art Academy, he has resumed his career as an artist. In 2013/2014, Ho exhibited his artwork together with fellow artist and friend, Aad Velthoen.
On 13 August 2019 Man Kin Ho deceased, leaving the world behind with his heritage: workmanship, perfectionism and creativity,
contained in the tastes and aromas of his memorable culinary dishes and dim sum, as well as in his paintings and calligraphies.
It is this culinary heritage, yet after Ho retired, that has been and will continuously be preserved and secured by the next generation Ho family members.

Dim Sum is considered a Chinese delicacy that can be enjoyed on any occasion, as appetiser, starter, lunch, snack, as side dish, or even as a main course or dessert. It can also be served at parties and receptions as a savoury accompaniment to drinks. There are many varieties of Dim Sum. Each variety has its own specific flavour, shape and pastry, filled with either meat, various types of fish, seafood including prawns, vegetables or sweets. The combination of pastry and filling of this Chinese delicacy creates a fine balance between the flavour and ‘bite’. Dim Sum can be prepared using a variety of cooking methods, such as steaming, frying, deep frying, oven baking or microwaving.
The story of dim sum reaches back centuries to ancient China, where skilled cooks created gāodiǎn (糕點) , delicate pastries and small delicacies, prepared for the imperial courts. As trade flourished along the Silk Road, ingredients, culinary traditions and tea culture travelled with merchants across China. Teahouses became places to rest, enjoy tea and share small refreshments. Over generations, these traditions found their way south and evolved in Guangdong into yum cha (飲茶) — drinking tea accompanied by an ever-growing variety of small dishes. In Hong Kong, Dim Sum culture truly flourished, becoming a tradition of craftsmanship, tea and sharing that continues to bring people together today.

Dim sum is defined not only by its ingredients, but also by the way it is prepared. Each variety has its own method, carefully chosen to create the right flavour, texture and character. Steaming keeps delicate dumplings tender and juicy, from Har Kau to Shao Mai and fluffy Bao, while boiling gives Won Tons their silky wrapper and allows them to be served simply or in a warming broth. Frying creates a light, crisp exterior while keeping the filling succulent. Other varieties are baked until golden or gently pan-fried for the perfect balance between soft and crispy.
Every method requires its own technique, temperature and timing. From the thickness of a wrapper to the way a dumpling is folded and cooked, small details make a remarkable difference. It is this precision and variety that make dim sum a true culinary craft, many different preparations, created to be enjoyed together.
Every day at our facility in the Netherlands, tradition meets precision. Since 1990 we have crafted authentic Dim Sum for the European market. Our standard range includes some fifty delicious varieties, some made entirely by hand, others produced semi-automatically to meet the demands of excellence and scale. It begins with ingredient sourcing, where we seek the right balance of freshness, flavour and compatibility with our production standards. From that foundation, our chefs design recipes honed by years of culinary heritage, then our production team brings them to life.
In our Dutch production hall you’ll see the two worlds in action: artisans foldings by hand, paralleling streamline systems that ensure consistency and hygiene. Each piece passes through controls for food-safety, texture, taste and appearance, meeting the high-level standards we set for every product. From dough to filling, from wrapper to steamer, our process is designed to honour authenticity while serving the European foodservice landscape. Bags, cartons and pallets may leave the factory doors, but the heart of each product remains rooted in craft and integrity.
Because “Made in the Netherlands” isn’t just a location. For us it stands for: rigorous quality systems, European-market compliance, consistent supply, and the same culinary passion that began in a small kitchen decades ago. Choose our Dim Sum, and you’re choosing more than frozen snacks, you’re choosing a tradition of flavour, food-safety excellence, and culinary heart made in the Netherlands.

At Treasure Dim Sum, quality and safety are just as important to us as taste and tradition. That’s why our production is certified at the IFS Higher Level — one of the strictest international standards for food production, recognised worldwide by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
But what does that really mean?
It means that everything we make, from the ingredients we choose to the moment our Dim Sum leaves the factory . Follows strict rules for hygiene, traceability, and quality. Independent experts regularly inspect our entire process to make sure we meet these global standards. To achieve the “Higher Level” certification, a company must score over 95% during the audit , proof of excellent performance and continuous improvement.
This certification is trusted by retailers, chefs, and foodservice partners across Europe because it guarantees that our products are made safely, consistently, and responsibly. It also shows our ongoing commitment to transparency and reliability.
For our customers, it means peace of mind. You can enjoy the true taste of Hong Kong knowing that every piece of Dim Sum is crafted with care, under the highest food safety standards in the world.
At Treasure Dim Sum, we don’t just make food that touches the heart… we make food you can trust.
At Treasure Dim Sum, cleanliness and control are at the heart of everything we do. From the moment ingredients arrive at our factory in the Netherlands until the finished Dim Sum leaves our doors, every step follows strict hygiene rules. Our production areas are designed to separate raw and cooked products, and our team follows detailed hygiene routines, from protective clothing and handwashing procedures to equipment cleaning and temperature checks. This ensures that every product is made in a safe, spotless environment.
Traceability means we know exactly where every ingredient comes from, and where every finished product goes. Each batch is carefully documented, so we can trace every item back to its origin. This gives us full control and allows us to act quickly and responsibly if anything in the supply chain changes.
Together, hygiene and traceability form the foundation of our food safety system. They make sure that our dim sum isn’t just delicious and authentic, but also safe, reliable, and produced with care from start to finish.
Because at Treasure Dim Sum, quality means more than taste… it means trust.
At Treasure Dim Sum, food safety is more than a checklist, it’s part of who we are. We believe that making safe, high-quality food starts with people who care. That’s why we’ve built a strong food safety culture across every level of our company.
Our team understands that safety begins with awareness and responsibility. Everyone, from production staff to management, shares the same commitment to maintaining the highest hygiene standards, handling ingredients with care, and speaking up whenever something can be improved. We train, guide, and encourage our people to see food safety not as a task, but as a mindset.
This culture of care and accountability helps us keep every product consistent, traceable, and trustworthy. It ensures that every dumpling, bun, and roll meets the same high standards, every single day.
By nurturing a strong food safety culture, we protect not only our customers but also the heritage and reputation behind our name. Because for us, quality isn’t just in the taste… it’s in the trust we build together.
At Treasure Dim Sum, we believe good food should be made with respect, for people, for products, and for the planet. Sustainability is part of how we work every day, from ingredient sourcing to packaging and production.
Because our Dim Sum is made in the Netherlands, we produce close to our European customers, reducing transport distances and lowering our carbon footprint. We work with trusted suppliers who share our values for quality, safety, and responsible sourcing. By using ingredients efficiently and reducing waste, we make sure that every product is crafted with care for both flavour and the environment.
In our production facility, we continuously look for smarter and more sustainable ways to operate, improving energy efficiency, optimising water use, and minimising material waste. Packaging materials are carefully selected for food safety, freshness, and recyclability wherever possible.
Our trays are designed for convenience and sustainability: they can go directly into the steamer, reducing the need for extra packaging or handling. This not only simplifies preparation for our customers but also helps lower waste and energy use in professional kitchens.
Sustainability also means taking care of people. We create a safe, supportive workplace where our team can grow, and we build long-term relationships with partners who share our vision of responsible business.
We’re proud to bring the authentic flavours of Hong Kong to Europe in a way that not only tastes good, but does good. Because we believe that real quality goes beyond the product… it’s about how it’s made, and the impact it leaves behind.
